Vijayawada: Chief minister
N Chandrababu Naidu came to the rescue of a 3-year-old boy who was critically ill due to prolonged typhoid. Incidentally, the boy's name is Devansh and his father's name is Lokesh, which are the names of Naidu's grandson and son, respectively.
Lokesh is a resident of Old Rajarajeshwaripeta in Vijayawada, and his son Devansh fell ill with typhoid.
Despite being treated in multiple hospitals, he did not recover and his condition worsened as his haemoglobin levels dropped from the required 14% to 4%.
Meanwhile, Lokesh's acquaintances informed health department officials at the Chief Minister's office about the boy's condition, who in turn informed Naidu.
Moved by the plight of the little boy, Naidu sent a medical team to Lokesh's home and later got Devansh admitted to a private hospital. Naidu issued an LOC on an emergency basis for the treatment following which Devansh was treated for about 11 days in the hospital and has now fully recovered. The officials from CMO continuously kept a tab on his condition by coordinating with parents and doctors and kept the chief minister informed about the boy's health condition.
With their son back home hale and healthy, Lokesh is all praise for Naidu and said that his son would have not survived if chief minister had not intervened.
