After numerous delays, looks like actor Shiva starrer 'Sumo' is finally slated for release in theatres in October. The comedy film directed by 'February 14' fame filmmaker Hosimin also stars
Priya Anand and will feature real life Japanese sumo wrestler
Yoshinori Tashiro.
'Sumo' is produced by Vels Film International in association with VTV Ganesh and the music of the film is composed by Nivas K Prasanna.
The film also features Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Srinath, Chetan, Besant Ravi and others.
Yoshinori Tashiro will be playing the role of a Japanese sumo wrestler. The two and half minute trailer that was released in December 2019 revealed that Yoshinori Tashiro, a sumo with an IQ of a one and a half-year-old baby enters the life of Shiva, who turns into his trainer due to circumstances. Shiva tries to take back Yoshinori to Japan after he found him at a beach shore in India. What he finds out in Japan about Yoshinori and whay he turns into his teacher forms the rest of the story.
The film, which was in the making since 2019, underwent multiple delays due to production issues and later due to the coronavirus pandemic.
