How to hide WhatsApp chats on Android without archiving

WhatsApp is one of the most popular instant messaging apps used by billions of people worldwide. But sometimes you may want to keep certain conversations private without deleting them. This way, you can block chats which can only be opened via your phone's biometrics - face or fingerprint.Do note that when chats are locked, the notification content and contact are hidden. The notification will show as WhatsApp: 1 new message.
In case you wish to make these chats public, go to the Locked Chats folder. Select the chat you wish to unblock. Tap on the three dot icon and then tap on the ‘Unblock chat’.
