CBI arrested an assistant director of the Enforcement Directorate, Sandeep Singh, for accepting a bribe of Rs 20 lakh. Till a little over a month ago, Sandeep Singh was just another promising talent looking to make a mark on the Indian shooting landscape. With no experience of playing in big finals or boasting of any major international medal, the 28-year-old Naib Subedar in the Indian Army appeared in the Paris Olympics selection trials in Delhi and Bhopal in April-May with a sole target of achieving some good scores.
