Actress Anupama Solanki recently embarked on a spiritual journey to Haridwar, Uttarakhand, where she explored the region's sacred sites. Sharing her experience, she says, "I’ll always remember the peace and energy I felt during the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri."
Anupama's first visit to Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar left a lasting impression. "This was my first time visiting Har Ki Pauri in Uttarakhand.
I attended the evening Aarti by the Ganga River, and it was an incredible feeling to be at such a holy place. It was a four-day spiritual visit to Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand, and I honestly have no words to describe how special it was. I also visited the Mansa Devi Temple and experienced the ropeway for the first time. The journey was both exciting and thrilling. Every day during my stay, I returned to Har Ki Pauri for the Ganga Aarti."
She continues, "After visiting Har Ki Pauri, I travelled to Rishikesh and later to Dehradun, which was an amazing bike ride. Dehradun is about 80 km from Haridwar. One day is usually enough to visit Haridwar for the Ganga Snan (bath) and darshan at Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi temples. But I stayed longer because of my trips to Rishikesh and Dehradun. I had heard that in Rishikesh, the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet at Triveni Ghat, and I feel so fortunate to have visited this sacred place. I even collected holy water from Triveni Ghat for purification at home. I also visited Lakshman Jhula, Ram Jhula, and countless temples. Performing Ganga Mata Puja in Haridwar and receiving blessings from the priests was a blessing. Dehradun, with its beautiful hills and pleasant atmosphere, was another highlight, though I’ve heard winter is the ideal time to visit. I’d love to return during that season."

Reflecting on 2024, Anupama says, "This year has been a great journey so far. Apart from my work, I’ve been travelling to spiritual places—Ayodhya Ram Mandir, Lord Krishna's birthplace in Vrindavan, Vaishno Devi in Jammu & Kashmir, and now Haridwar. It's my dream to visit all the temples and spiritual places in India this year while I'm still young because these trips often involve a lot of walking, and it’s easier when you have physical stamina. At each place, I buy a souvenir as a keepsake because we never know when we’ll have the chance to return."

Anupama treasures the experiences she gains from her travels. "I’ll always remember the peace and energy during the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, my first ropeway experience to Mansa Devi, and collecting holy water from Triveni Ghat. These moments stay with me, giving me strength and peace long after the trip. Spirituality is in my blood, and I love visiting these sacred places. Honestly, I don’t always plan these trips—it feels like God is calling me. They help me feel strong, powerful, and more compassionate toward humanity. They are a way for me to connect with both nature and my spiritual side."
