Agartala: TIPRA Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarman on Sunday urged the Centre to raise the issue of Bangladesh having “miserably failed” to protect its minorities at the UN.
“If the violence against minorities doesn’t stop, India should embarrass Bangladesh internationally. The world aid for the country should be stopped, the Asian Development Bank should also take Bangladesh to task.
India should also rethink whether the perks they enjoy from us should continue or not,” Pradyot said.
Tripura’s royal scion announced that his party, an ally of the ruling BJP in the state, will organise a rally on September 26 to protest against the attacks on minorities in the neighbouring country, reports Biswendu Bhattacharjee.
