U’khand govt announces 4% hike in DA for employees of corporations
Dehradun: Uttarakhand government on Monday announced a 4% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees of corporations, councils, and development authorities, effective from Jan 1, 2024. This follows a recent increase in the DA for govt employees and pensioners, which was raised from 42% to 46% under the seventh pay commission.
Additionally, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami approved funding for various development projects across the state including allocating Rs 5.3 crore for the reconstruction and improvement of the Chhinkachhina-Roulmel motor road in Champawat's Pati block, and Rs 3.1 crore for the repair of the Bangsheel-Goldhar motor road in Tehri Garhwal's Dhanaulti constituency.

Further, Rs 5.8 crore has been sanctioned for road improvements in the Ustoli area of Chamoli district. An approval of Rs 24.9 lakh has also been granted for hiring a consultant to prepare the detailed project report for roads near Pantnagar airport.
The govt also gave an approval to name ‘Manoli Duboli Motor Road' after martyr Assistant Commandant Charu Chandra Pathak who died in 2004 in a militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
