Man tied to a tree & beaten brutally, video goes viral

Indore: A shocking video has surfaced on social media, showing a youth being brutally beaten and tied to a tree by villagers in Tungni village of Ratlam district. The incident, which occurred seven days ago on September 16, prompted the police to lodge an FIR against two persons.
The victim, identified as Shravan Bagri, had returned from Gujarat after working as a labourer.He was walking from the Tal area to his village, Narsinghgarh, when he was attacked. Around 2 am, he was chased by stray dogs and started running. Mistaking him for a thief, villagers caught him and tied him to a tree before beating him mercilessly with sticks and rods. The assault resulted in fractures to his hands and legs.
The police have identified and booked two persons, named Dashrath Singh and Dharmendra Singh, from Tungni village, in connection with the incident. Efforts are underway to identify the other assailants, the police said.
Alote SDOP Shabera Ansari said that a case has been registered against the four individuals, including two unidentified, involved in the brutal attack. She further emphasised that the police are committed to ensuring justice for the victim and have launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
