Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced a plan to generate 1 million jobs over the next five years through combined efforts of private and public sectors.
JAIPUR: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Sunday said that private and public sectors in Rajasthan will collectively generate 1 million jobs over the next five years.
He said this at a ceremony hosted by the All India Haryana Gaur Brahmin Mahasabha Jaipur at Benada Dham in Bassi Tehsil, Jaipur.
Sharma emphasised the state govt's commitment to enhancing educational and skill development opportunities and fostering employment.

He said the govt will provide free tablets with three years of internet connectivity to meritorious students in grades 8, 10 and 12. "Additionally, the state will see the establishment of Rajasthan finishing schools and new ITIs and polytechnic colleges to improve vocational training. The move will enhance employability. Business innovation programmes will be introduced in schools and colleges to promote entrepreneurship among youth."
Sharma said his govt introduced the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship for Academic Excellence, which will cover higher education expenses for students both in India and abroad. The govt has termed the move as fostering the best Rajasthan in the globe.
He announced that the State Skill Policy will be launched to train approximately 1.5 lakh youth over the next two years, with the establishment of the Atal Innovation Studio aimed at generating new employment opportunities with a larger aim to achieve the employment target.
