Nagpur: Two more casualties were reported from Tuesday’s flash floods in
Gondia, on Wednesday. A woman, identified as Kiran Agrawal, whose house collapsed, was missing even after over 24 hours.
According to the initial survey, the crop damage has been pegged at 3,454 hectares across 384 villages, involving 8,786 farmers in Gondia district.
Mostly paddy fields and vegetable crops have suffered damage.
The fields were still submerged, officials said, adding that over 900 houses of villagers were partially damaged, and 10 were completely swept away.
