Nashik: All the MLAs who rebelled against undivided Shiv Sena, including Suhas Kande from the Nandgaon constituency, would bite the dust in the forthcoming state assembly elections, Sena (UBT) MP
Sanjay Raut said on Tuesday.
Over 40 MLAs of the undivided Sena have switched to CM
Eknath Shinde's camp since the split in the party in 2022.
"Attempts were made to weaken the Sena (UBT) faction during the Lok Sabha polls, but the party continued to fight and performed well during the election.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) won 31 of 48 seats in the state then. The winning streak will continue in the state assembly polls too. MVA will come to the power in Maharashtra after the assembly polls," Raut said while adressing party workers at Manmad in the Nandgaon assembly segment in Nashik district.
The MP alleged that BJP govt at Centre was misusing govt machineries like CBI, ED and income tax department against the members of the opposition parties to break their unity.
Raut also criticised Mahayuti govt for its failure to tackle unemployment. "Many big industrial projects went from Maharashtra to Gujarat, but chief minister Eknath Shinde-led govt did not make any efforts to stop this. Those investments would have provided job opportunities to lakhs of youth in Maharashtra," he said.
Sena (UBT) deputy leader Advay Hiray, who is likely to contest from Malegaon Outer constituency against district guardian minister Dada Bhuse, said false cases were lodged against him, but he would continue to fight and emerge victorious during the assembly polls.
