Stress on need of reforms in Wakf Board
Shimla: Amid the ongoing protests in various parts of Himachal Pradesh questioning legality of mosques, state’s public works development (PWD) minister Vikramaditya Singh has emphasised on the need to bring transparency and reforms in every organisation and religious body, including the Wakf Board.
“Similarly, there should be transparency in the Wakf Board in the near future which include their financial transactions, land bank and land pool, and its allocation should be made public so that environment of mistrust can be addressed,” he added.

He said the kind of environment that exists in Himachal, everyone wants that all should live in peace and brotherhood. “It is the state government’s as well as everyone’s responsibility to maintain internal security in the state,” he underlined.
