Private practice: Doc suspended

T'puram: Dr D Nelson, an assistant surgeon at Aryanad community health centre has been suspended from service for engaging in private practice during official duty hours.
The director of health services has found that it has been done violating the existing guidelines for the private practice.
The disciplinary action and subsequent probe were initiated following the direction of health minister Veena George after the matter came to her attention.
