Gold ornaments robbed from woman

Trichy: Trichy city police have launched an investigation into the robbery of gold ornaments from a woman inside a house in Kambarasampettai area in Trichy on Sunday.
S Ramanathan alias Ramesh, 42, from Kambarasampettai lodged a complaint with the Jeeyapuram police stating that his mother, Manonmani was residing near his house. She was sleeping in the upstairs of the house, when an unknown person broke into the house at around 2am, and robbed her of her eight sovereign gold chain and four sovereign bangles and fled the scene.
Police visited the spot and conducted inquiries. Police are investigating.
