Sean 'Diddy' Combs in good health, focuses on legal battle amid suicide watch concerns

Rapper Diddy was arrested in Manhattan last September 16. Federal prosecutors later revealed details about their case against him, charging him of running a criminal enterprise that primarily focused on a pattern of abuse towards women. Bail was denied to Diddy on September 17, when he proposed posting a $50 million bail, more than double the usual amount of $2 million requested in similar cases. Diddy is expected to make an appearance before Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. as the process is underway for the pretrial conference.

Representatives for the famous hip-hop icon Sean 'Diddy' Combs said, according to Billboard, that he has no threat to his life after being put under suicide watch. There are reports saying that the music mogul is safe and sound and not in direct danger since he was placed under supervision at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn. It has been said that the move taken by the authorities regarding Diddy is an ordinary procedure for celebrity prisoners.
His spokesman said that Diddy is healthy, powerful, and fully directed on preparation to defend himself.

He also feels justified because he is confident with his team of lawyers who would take care of the case. Sources for NBC News say that this defensive move was rather a preventive action rather than an actual danger. The same measure had been taken in the case against Jeffrey Epstein.

Diddy's very publicized lawsuit is where his legal battle began last November when his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura sued him for long-term sexual abuse and assault. A 2016 video showing him harassing Ventura kept fueling public anger in support of Ventura. While that case was ultimately settled out of court, several other women have subsequently stepped forward to make similar claims. At the time of his arrest, Diddy was already facing a total of eight different suits.

Such probes into these allegations led to federal raids of his Los Angeles and Miami homes, according to reports, Homeland Security unearthed evidence that deepened the charges against him. Yet, despite these grave accusations against him, Diddy remains unmoved to defend himself as the case continues.
