Designed by India City Walks, Heritage Hunt is an interactive, gamified way of exploring historical sites. The hunt, driven by the app, is an immersive way to discover hidden aspects of Delhi's heritage through engaging challenges and trivia.
Participants decode the clues to find sites at Purana Qila
With photo-based challenges, hidden QR codes and GPS check-ins, the heritage hunt experience at Purana Qila was attended by 19 participants, who were divided into five teams.
A selfie has to be uploaded after finding the spot
"The idea is to blend storytelling, culture and local experiences into a fun, offbeat event that educates participants while promoting heritage conservation. The team's goal was to create a format that not only promotes heritage conservation but also fosters a deep connection between participants and city's rich past, making the experience both informative and fun," says Sachin Bansal, founder and chief explorer, India City Walks.
Some participants said that the hunt was a refreshing way to rediscover the city
"The aim is to engage locals and communities in awareness efforts through gamification, adopting eco-friendly practices and offering educational tours to deepen culture appreciation," says Nidhi Bansal, CEO of ICW and curator of the event.
The challenges guide participants through landmarks, lesser-known spots and hidden gems of the city
