Raghav Juyal, widely known for his dance and comedic skills, has recently ventured into playing negative roles in 'Kill' and Yudhra', showcasing his versatility as an actor.
During a recent conversation with Mid-day, the actor revealed how playing such a dark character impacted him psychologically, leaving his family concerned.
Raghav Juyal revealed that stepping into a negative role required him to push beyond his comfort zone and challenge his boundaries.
He explained that he had to engage in behaviour quite different from his usual self, describing the process as intense and sometimes unsettling. After filming concluded, he realized the psychological toll the role had taken on him, leading to an overwhelming need to disconnect and heal.
To unwind, Raghav Juyal returned to his hometown in Uttarakhand, where the peace and serenity of the mountains helped him regain balance. He mentioned that his family noticed a change in his behaviour and expressed concern, which made him realize how deeply he had immersed himself in the character.
During his earlier conversation with ETimes, the actor opened up on the compliments he’s been receiving for his acting in the film, especially from
Vicky Kaushal.
He said, “ The industry’s response has been so great , be it the actors, directors, everyone. Vicky Kaushal Bhai loved the film and my performance so much, that he spent one hour with me asking me about how I prepared for the film, and how I could be so impulsive in my portrayal. And I just didn't know how to answer him, because I just went and did what the script said. Even now when I see myself on the screen.. I feel very off. I cannot see myself performing. “
Apart from the lead stars, Yudhra also includes Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, Raj Arjun, and Shilpa Shukla in pivotal roles. The film is directed by
Ravi Udyawar and penned by Shridhar Raghavan.
