Bhopal: Two youths on a speeding bike allegedly rammed into the road divider on Link Road number-1 in 74-Bungalows in TT Nagar, near the bungalows of minister Vishwas Sarang and former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, in the early hours of Monday. One of them, a 20-year-old youth, died while his friend was critically injured and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
TT Nagar police registered a case and started investigations.
Investigation officer ASI Nandkishore said that the deceased, Sourabh Patel, 20, hailed from Sohagpur in Hoshangabad. He was residing on rent in Bhopal and preparing for competitive exams. Earlier, he resided in a room in Vidhya Nagar and was now searching for another room. His father is a farmer in Hoshangabad.
ASI Nandkishore said that on Sunday night, Sourabh, along with his friend, the injured Sujal Tiwari, had gone to have dinner at a restaurant in the Ratibad area. Around 3.30 am, both friends were returning on Sourabh's sports bike. On their way, Sourabh lost control of the bike and rammed it into the road divider. Both were not wearing helmets but sustained critical injuries.
