`` We have seen that people have an anguish against the 10 years of BJP rule in the state. I hope that the EVM are strong enough to handle the pressure. I shall rather urge people to quietly vote for Congress to express their anguish,’’ said Khera.
While referring to the proposed Employment policy announced by him, Khera reasoned the allegations of lack of transparency in agencies and BJP government, incidents of paper leaks and other examinations scams of the state as the reason for coming out with the policy.
`` This would be such an Employment policy which shall weed out all kinds of wrongs people saw in the 10 years of the BJP government. The policy shall ensure the transparent, honest approach with merit being the sole criteria,’’ he said.
Pawan Khera, who was accompanied by AICC secretary Alok Sharma and other office bearers categorically took on Nayab Saini led BJP government over the issue of public debt.
`` At the time when nothing much has been done for public, then how come a debt of Rs 70000 crore in 2014 has reached Rs 3.75 lakh crore in 2024. This is a major questions which shows the intentions of BJP government,'' he said.

He meanwhile, referred to the declining number of youth of Haryana in Army recruitment rallies after inception of Agniveers by claiming that now the participation of Haryanavi youth is reduced to hundreds against the normal average of 5000 recruits from the state.
Khera launched a scathing attack on BJP in center and state over the issue of guarantees given by Congress while comparing the same with BJP;s manifesto. `` BJP;s promises are either copied from Guarantees given by Congress or they have rehashed their last two unfulfilled manifestoes of 2014 and 2019. Believe me they don't have anything to show as their achievements, hence they would either criticize Congress or its leaders to be there in the limelight and to woo voters,’ said Khera,
So far as BJP rule is concerned that their people in government here were just the puppets controlled from New Delhi. `` They brought in one leader and made him CM for nine and half years. Now, apprehending loss of face, they abruptly changed him with new one and the earlier one's pictures have even gone missing from the posters and the banners,’’ he said.
