Liquor worth ₹30L seized by UT excise dept
Chandigarh: In view of the election to Haryana Assembly 2024, the Excise Department of UT Chandigarh carried out inspections at various liquor vends and some unauthorised godowns during last week.
According to sources, teams of the department have confiscated a total of 1,450 cases of liquor, valued at approximately ₹30 lakh. “The Excise and Taxation Department is committed to maintaining strict vigilance and dedicated to enforcing the rules rigorously,” said a senior official.
