Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT mints over Rs 1 crore in Hindi in third weekend

Thalapathy Vijay is preparing to enter politics following the completion of his final film, Thalapathy 69. His penultimate movie, The Greatest of All Time, continues to perform well at the box office. Earlier this year, Vijay announced his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, which was officially registered in September by the Election Commission of India.

Thalapathy Vijay is all set to transition into the world of politics, as he completes his last film which has been tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, directed by H Vinoth. The makers a few days ago also released the poster of the film with the tagline ‘The torchbearer of Democracy'. The film is slated to release in 2025 and the supporting cast of the film is still being decided.

Coming to his penultimate film, The Greatest of All Time directed by Venkat Prabhu, is still holding out strong at the box office with the film adding Rs 11.75 crore to its kitty, taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 243.50 across languages, and hoping to cross Rs 250 crore mark before the next weekend.

Though it seems unlikely that film will be able to beat the collection of Vijay’s last released film Lokesh Kanagraj’s Leo: Bloody Sweet, which had gone on to mint Rs 341.04 crore in the country.
While GOAT continues to go strong in Tamil, it’s Hindi version is just about floating, as the film added Rs 1.18 crore over the third weekend, as per early estimates by Sacnilk, thus taking the Hindi collection to Rs 16.03 crore.

The Greatest of All Time, featured Vijay in a dual role, and a star-studded cast of Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, and Meenakshi Chaudhary.
It was in February this year Vijay announced his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam and it was only in September the Election Commission of India registered it as a political party.
