TIRUPATI: A 64-year-old physician, Dr Peramsetty Ramesh Babu, hailing from Menakuru village in Naidupet mandal in
Tirupati district, died under mysterious circumstances in the US.
The cause of his death is not clear.
According to sources, he was reportedly shot and killed by unknown assailants on Friday, while an official confirmation is awaited.
Dr Ramesh Babu had a distinguished career in medicine.
He completed his medical degree from Sri Venkateswara medical college in Tirupati, where he initially gained recognition as a skilled physician. He later moved to the US, where he served the community in Tuscaloosa, and earned a strong reputation for his medical services.
As his career and financial stability grew, Dr Ramesh Babu established several hospitals across the US. He was married with four children, all of whom are settled in the US. During the Covid-19 pandemic, his services were widely acknowledged.
