RE Classic 650 spotted in UK ahead of nearing launch: What to expect

Royal Enfield's eagerly awaited Classic 650 has been spotted undisguised in the UK. The new model draws inspiration from the Classic 350 with its teardrop-shaped fuel tank and dual-tone colour schemes. Powered by a familiar 648cc parallel twin engine delivering 47 hp, it is set to debut at EICMA 2024.

Royal Enfield’s much-anticipated Classic 650 has been spotted completely undisguised in the UK. This new model will become the fifth 650cc motorcycle in the brand’s lineup, following the 650 Twins, Super Meteor, and Shotgun 650.
From the latest images, it’s clear that the Classic 650 draws heavy inspiration from the smaller Classic 350, with a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a round headlight, and the iconic dual-tone colour schemes.
The spy shots show a maroon and cream finish with the classic Royal Enfield branding. The motorcycle will be available with spoke wire wheels and might also get alloy wheels option.
Underneath its classic styling, the familiar 648cc parallel twin engine of the Classic 650. It delivers 47 hp and 52 Nm of torque, identical to its siblings in the 650cc range. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

Royal Enfield has equipped the model with features such as telescopic front forks, dual-channel ABS, LED lighting. Additional tech may also include Tripper navigation, adjustable levers, and even a Type-C charging port. The model is expected to make its global debut at EICMA 2024. Later, it is likely that the manufacturer will showcase the model at Motoverse 2024 . It will go against the BSA Gold Star 650, which, however, has a single-cylinder engine.
