Warning 2 Movie Review : Gippy Grewal's sequel is a complicated story with electrifying action sequences

Critic's Rating: 3.0/5
Story: ‘Warning 2’ picks up immediately from its predecessor, ‘Warning (2021),’ thrusting viewers into the tumultuous world of Geja (Gippy Grewal) as he enters jail, embarking on a relentless quest for vengeance against Pamma (Prince Kanwaljit Singh).

Review: ‘Warning 2’ is a gripping sequel to its predecessor, retaining the intense action and stellar performances that defined the original film. The narrative delves deeper into the characters' backgrounds, particularly focusing on Geja's past and his path of revenge, which ultimately led him into a life of crime.

The story picks up seamlessly from where it left off when Geja is imprisoned in the same jail as Pamma. There, Pamma is enthralled by the stories of Geja's heinous murders, where he learns about Geja's past and, predictably, how he set out to get revenge for his family's murder, which led him to a life of crime. The question of whether they and predators outside the jail can settle their scores with Geja is central to the plot.

The film portrays a complex web of revenge, with various local goons inside and outside the prison adding layers to the storyline. Suspended police officer Ranjit Singh (Rahul Dev) adds another dimension to the plot with his shady actions and complicated past with Geja.

Amar Hundal's directing abilities show through, steering this 127-minute film with a deft touch. The use of slow-motion shots and stylized combat choreography adds to the appeal of the revenge saga. However, having too many characters clutters the narrative and turns it into a complex circle of retaliation.

Gippy Grewal, the film's producer and writer, shows off his versatility beyond acting. His character's intense gaze and mysterious silence add to the intrigue. Prince Kanwaljit Singh has once again won the hearts of the audience as Pamma. He is the crowd's favorite who outshines everyone with his stellar performance and witty dialogue. The scenes where Pamma meets Geja are the highlights of the film.

The supporting cast, including Rahul Dev as the enigmatic suspended police officer Ranjit Singh, Jaggi Singh as Rana, Dheeraj Kumar as Keepa, Raghveer Boli as Seeti, Raj Singh Jhinjar as Gella, and Jasmine Bhasin as Raunak, deliver commendable performances that propel the story forward.

Baljit Singh Deo's cinematography elevates the visual appeal of the film, capturing the gritty atmosphere of the prison setting with finesse. Kevin Roy's background score complements the action sequences, enhancing their impact and immersing viewers in the pulse-pounding tension of the narrative.

Overall, 'Warning 2' is a far-fetched continuation of the narrative packed with electrifying action scenes. With a tantalizing hint of a possible sequel, the film leaves viewers eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Geja and Pamma's gripping story.

I saw this movie nearly a month ago with my friends, in a strange alien-balloon fugue state, unaware of the impending destruction this movie would rend upon my psyche, hurting my conscious and subverting my unconscious.
Drama Aale is what you get when you give some hack schmucks a free trip to London. Any and all plot is contrived and thought up by someone who thinks watching paint dry is the funniest thing.
To synopsise the plot, the Drama troupe somehow by the grace of God managed to score a deal to produce a Drama in London. Hijinks, insufferability, and incomprehensible nonsense ensue.
All in all, the final act of the film is a complete and total 180 and shoehorned in by the intellectually challenged filmmaker to try and "state something". What they state, however, is contrived and lame. We get it. You lot had some problems nearly 100 years ago.
I don't know anything about Punjab, or Dramas, or whatever. I do know films. I know what I like, and I know what should be disliked.
Drama Aale sucks. It will never be remembered.
-Kynan
(P.S, I would give it 0 stars if I could.)
